Terms of Service
The essentials of using Timely. For how your information is handled, read the Privacy Policy.
Using Timely
Timely is made by Rowan Strang. These terms cover the Timely app, App Clip, website and ChatGPT plugin. By using them, you agree to these terms. Use Timely lawfully, respect other people’s rights, and do not disrupt the service, bypass access controls or overload its servers. You keep ownership of the content you provide; Timely processes it to deliver the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Create Countdown in ChatGPT
Create Countdown is currently free and needs no Timely account or paid Timely subscription. It prepares a link and live preview; it does not directly save or start a countdown, enable an alarm, or manage existing countdowns. Review the title, date, time and timezone, then tap Add to continue in Timely or its App Clip. ChatGPT access and usage limits are set by OpenAI.
Timing and availability
The chat preview may pause or disappear when ChatGPT hides it. Live Activities and alarms need an exact deadline, compatible devices and software, and permissions. Eligible Live Activities run during the final eight hours before an event. Device settings, connectivity and third-party services can affect delivery. Timely is a helpful timing aid, not an emergency or safety-critical system; use an independent backup when missing a deadline could cause harm.
Optional purchases
Paid Timely features are optional and may vary by region. Apple handles in-app payments under the price and purchase terms shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew as shown at purchase until cancelled through your Apple account. Contact Apple about billing or refund requests, and Timely Support about product problems. Your statutory refund and consumer rights still apply.
Changes and interruptions
Features may change or be temporarily unavailable. I may limit access to protect the service from abuse or security threats. Material changes to these terms will be dated here, with additional notice where required. Changes to paid features remain subject to your purchase terms and consumer rights.
Your rights and getting help
Nothing in these terms removes rights or remedies that consumer law gives you, including under New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies. Apple’s and OpenAI’s terms also apply to their own services. If something goes wrong or you have a question, contact Timely Support so I can help.
